What hosts ask before their first event.
Do guests need to download an app?
No. Guests tap your link or scan the QR and everything happens in their phone browser — nothing to install, nothing to set up.
Is there a Momeza app?
Not yet — apps for iPhone and Android are in testing and coming soon. Everything works in the browser today, on any phone, and the website will keep doing everything the app does. When the apps arrive they are for hosts who would rather run their event from one: your guests will still need nothing but the link.
Do guests need an account?
Yes. Anyone can look at a public event page, but taking part — a photo, an RSVP, a vote, a note — needs a free account, however they arrived: a link, an invitation or a scanned QR code. It takes an email and a password, and it is what lets a guest come back later, find what they added, and export or delete it themselves.
How long does setup take?
A few minutes. An event needs a name and a date to exist; a cover photo and a description are optional, and you can change any of it after guests have already joined.
Can I try it before an event?
Yes. The Free plan creates a real event for up to 10 guests with every module turned on, so you can try the gallery, the games, RSVP and notes before committing. Note that on Free the whole gallery is deleted 24 hours after the event starts — it is for trying Momeza, not for keeping a night.
What happens to my photos after the event?
On Pro and Premium the gallery stays live for a month from the event's start, and you can pay a monthly fee to keep it alive beyond that. If you don't, it locks — still there, still yours, and paying reopens it — and after two more months the photos and videos are deleted for good. The event page itself stays either way. Before that happens, download everything: every event — free ones included — has a one-click archive of every photo, video, note and result, and it still works while the gallery is locked.
What kinds of events does it suit?
Weddings, birthdays, parties and reunions — and the work ones too: team offsites, company parties, conferences. Anywhere people gather, take photos, and would enjoy something to play. You can publish a running order so guests know what happens when, and turn off any module that doesn't fit. What Momeza doesn't do is sell tickets or take sign-ups for individual talks — it is for the gathering, not the box office.
How new is Momeza?
New. It was built in 2026 and is still finding its first real events. A bug report reaches the people who can fix it without passing through a support tier — but replies take days rather than hours, and nobody is on call the night of your event.
